Kanisoz Shawl Producer Company Limited is a pioneering off-farm Producer Organization located in Odina Village, Bandipora, Jammu & Kashmir. Dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich textile heritage of Kashmir, Kanisoz specializes in two iconic crafts: Kani and Sozni shawls.
Our Craftsmanship
* Kani Shawls: Woven using the traditional Kani technique, these shawls are known for their intricate patterns and vibrant colors. The process involves weaving small wooden sticks, or 'kanis,' through the warp threads to create detailed motifs.
* Sozni Shawls: Hand-embroidered with fine needlework, Sozni shawls feature delicate floral and paisley designs. This meticulous embroidery is done using a single strand of thread, showcasing the artisan's skill and patience.

The company is supported by NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) and facilitated by Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS), Kashmir. These collaborations enable us to offer training, resources, and market linkages to our members.
